Drawing Conclusions and Evaluating your Experiment
Bath Bomb Project
Now have a look back at your original hypothesis – did your results match your prediction? Write a short sentence or two explaining the main trends observed in your data and what scientific points this illustrates.
As a scientist, it is important to continually evaluate how well you carried out your experiment in order to become an even better scientist in the future! Think about:
- What could have caused any anomalies in your results?
- Was there anything you didn’t control fully, e.g. the temperature of the water?
- What would you do differently if you were to repeat this project again?
The evaluation section is also important for suggesting to other scientists what they could do to investigate the science of bath bombs even more. What additional experiments could be done to further investigate the science of bath bombs?
